PLACL threads are a relatively new option for thread lifting – a procedure which works to physically lift the facial structure and tissues into a higher and more youthful position.
PLACL stands for poly-L-lactic acid, a substance which has been used for many years in clinic, an injectable facial rejuvenation treatment which works to stimulate collagen for a younger look.
Now PLACL is available in a thread format, which is used in a very different way.
Compared to injectable treatments, thread lifting is a procedure which directly addresses the structure of the face through an immediate lifting effect, accompanied by a longer term regeneration of collagen and natural volume.
We use the material PLACL also in our face lifting since this material is much stronger than PDO, and stays longer in the tissue, and gives a longer result that lasts up to 3 times longer compared to PDO threads.
They last more than 2 years in the body and are also broken down into naturally occurring substances in our skin. Due to the length of collagen stimulation, they are more powerful threads than PDO or PLLA threads.
PLACL threads produce collagen over a longer period than PDO threads. They have cones to hang to the tissue and increase the volume of saggy areas helping not only to provide a lift but to restore shape to the facial area.
